Diagnostic and Investigation Laboratory on Building Materials

 

The main topics covered by the laboratory are: chemical-physical-mechanical characterization of building materials (tests performed according to EN standards on natural and artificial stone materials, and the UNI Cultural Heritage Standard), evaluation of the durability and compatibility of materials for restoration work, testing of new materials, study of consolidation techniques in the field of Cultural Heritage, diagnostic investigations (non-destructive) on historical buildings, semi-destructive diagnostic investigations (eg. core drilling), moisture measurements, survey of wall sections, stratigraphic assays, geometric survey of degradation and structural damage, static monitoring and control of geometry variations (NTC).
