Department Director Attilio Frangi has been Full Professor of Construction Science at the Politecnico di Milano since 2003 and Deputy Director of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering since 2017. From 2001 to 2013 Prof. Frangi was Professeur Chargé de Cours at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. His research activity focuses on computational methods for multi-physics problems and MEMS micro-structures (more than 100 Scopus publications) and is characterized by the management of numerous research projects funded by public and private bodies.
He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Joint Research Center MEMS-Lab between Politecnico di Milano and ST-Microelectronics and is a member of the editorial board of REMN-Revue européenne de mécanique numérique, CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences and Actuators.
Daniela Fagnani has been Management Manager of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the Politecnico di Milano since 2013. Previously she worked in the General Affairs Department and in the Teaching Area of the same University as Head of Service for Training and Postgraduate Studies. Significant experience has been gained in Human Resources Management and in the conception, activation and verification of activities aimed at creating innovative processes and procedures for the development of the organizational structure.
She graduated in Political Science from the University of Milan and then perfected her training with a 2nd Level Master in “University and Research Management” at the Politecnico di Milano.
