Engineer Alessandro Marengo, PhD candidate of the program in Structural, Seismic and Geotechnical Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was awarded last 27th august.
In particular, the IUTAM Bureau Prize was presented to him on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. The oral presentation “A Rigorous Explicit Algorithm for the Phase-Field Modeling of Quasi-Brittle Fracture”, was considered the best.
