Language courses for PhD students

English language courses & other foreign languages

The Politecnico di Milano organizes English language courses for doctoral students every semester: the registration is carried out through the Language Course Catalogue in the Online Services whilst it is open. In particular, there is an assessment test to check the initial level. In addition, the Politecnico organizes German, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian language courses.

There is a tuition fee of 100 euros to pay to register.

Italian language and culture courses

In addition, the Politecnico di Milano offers doctoral students the opportunity to attend Italian language and culture courses. To register, you need to access the Online Services > Language Course Catalogue whilst the Call is active. There are two types of courses available: a free OFA Italian course for international students with Additional Educational Obligation (OFA) in Italian or an extracurricular Italian course (for those who do not have an OFA and wish to learn the language) paying the 100 euros tuition fee.

Remember that attending language courses does not entitle you to the acquisition of credits recognized in the doctoral study plan.
