Professor Livio Pinto of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, interviewed by the daily newspaper Libertà of Piacenza, explains the activities carried out in the design laboratory of his course Relief technique and 3d modeling for the Architecture. In particular, this year they have been devoted to relief and 3D modeling of two of the three total bastions still present in the Farnese Castle.
With the help of a drone, a lot of photograms are shot and then they will be developed from a software of Computer Vision. The final product is a virtual reconstruction of the Farnese Castle.
