The PhD in Sustainable Development and Climate change is an inter- and multidisciplinary Programme that focuses on orienting new generations on the comprehension of climate change and the design of sustainable societies. The added value of this PhD is represented by the opportunity of participating in various multidisciplinary and intra-academic activities, involving different research centers characterized by the willingness of building an innovative and environment-oriented society.

The PhD SDC, funded by the Italian Ministry of the University and the Research (MUR), is part of a project coordinated by the inter-academic center 3CSA (Center for Climate Change studies and Sustainable Actions,  composed by the Federation of Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and the School for Advanced Studies (IUSS) of Pavia), in collaboration with many research centers and Italian Universities among which Politecnico di Milano.  In particular, it will be possible to carry out part of the activities of the PhD at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DICA) and at the Department of Energy (DENG), which are actively involved in research activities on SDC themes.
