We are glad to announce that the article entitled “Hydrological implications of large-scale afforestation in tropical biomes for climate change mitigation” has been recently published in the prestigious scientific journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London B.In the article (link), global water models are used to study the hydrologic constraints and impacts of afforestation in tropical biomes.
The authors of the article are Prof. Maria Cristina Rulli, Livia Ricciardi, Nikolas Galli and Davide Danilo Chiarelli from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Politecnico di Milano and prof. Paolo D’Odorico of the Department of Science, Politics and Environmental Management of the University of California.
