Two studies related to the DESARC-MARESANUS Project

29 April 2021 @ 08:00 - 1 May 2021 @ 17:00

The increase of CO2 in the atmosphere and the ocean acidification are two major environmental issues that need to be solved. For this reason, several researchers are studying a technique called ocean alkalinization to overcome this potentially disastrous problem.

Two studies, conducted by various authors – including Professor Stefano Caserini and Professor Mario Grosso of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering – as part of the DESARC-MARESANUS project (of which Prof. Caserini is Project Manager) and published in Frontiers in Climate, evaluate the technique of ocean alkalinization.
