Leonardo Sandoval, a Postdoctoral Researcher in our Department, has been awarded the “Gustavo Sclocchi” Thesis Award 2023-2024 in the “Outstanding” category.
The award, now in its 31st edition, is organized by the Italian Section of the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), Assorisorse (the Italian Sustainable Energy & Resources Industry Association), and EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers).
The objective of the award is to recognize the value of thesis covering technical subjects related to Energy submitted by Philosophy Doctors and University Graduates in STEM disciplines, from Italian universities and Italian nationals graduated abroad.
The awards are divided into three categories (Outstanding, Excellent, and Most Significant), and the official award ceremony will take place on May 31st.

Il premio, giunto alla sua 31esima edizione, è organizzato dalla Sezione Italiana della SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), da Assorisorse (l’Associazione Industria Energetica e delle Risorse Sostenibili Italiana) e dall’EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers).
L’obiettivo del premio è quello di riconoscere il valore delle tesi che trattano argomenti tecnici legati all’energia presentate da Dottori di Ricerca e Laureati Universitari in discipline STEM, provenienti da università italiane e laureati italiani all’estero.
Le premiazioni sono suddivise in tre categorie (Outstanding, Excellent, e Most Significant) il prossimo 31 maggio avverrà la cerimonia di consegna ufficiale del premio.
