During the ALERT Annual Meeting held in Aussois in the last week of September, Katia Boschi, DICA research fellow in the Structures and Environment section, received the Ioannis Vardulakis PhD Prize.
The prestigious international recognition was established by the ALERT Geomaterials association to reward the dissemination of scientific research carried out by doctoral students in the field of soil, rock and concrete mechanics. It is awarded every year by an international jury that evaluates the best candidates who defended their thesis in the previous calendar year.
Katia won the award with her doctoral thesis entitled “Permeation Grouting in Granular Materials – From Micro to Macro, from Experimental to Numerical and Vice versa”, with which she obtained the title of European Research Doctor with Honors in Structural Engineering , Seismic and Geotechnical at our University in 2022.
Durante il Meeting Annuale dell’ALERT svoltosi a Aussois nell’ultima settimana di settembre, Katia Boschi, assegnista di ricerca del DICA nella sezione Strutture e Ambiente, ha ricevuto il Ioannis Vardulakis PhD Prize.
Il prestigioso riconoscimento internazionale è stato istituito dall’associazione ALERT Geomaterials per premiare la disseminazione della ricerca scientifica svolta dai dottorandi nel campo della meccanica delle terre, delle rocce e del calcestruzzo. Viene assegnato ogni anno da una giuria internazionale che valuta i migliori candidati che hanno discusso la tesi nell’anno solare antecedente.
Katia ha vinto il premio con la tesi di dottorato dal titolo “Permeation Grouting in Granular Materials – From Micro to Macro, from Experimental to Numerical and Vice versa”, con la quale ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca Europeo con Lode in Ingegneria Strutturale, Sismica e Geotecnica presso il nostro ateneo nel 2022.
