A paper by Professor Enrico Masoero, published in 2024-2025 in the Journal of Advanced Concrete Technology (JACT) — the scientific journal of the Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) — has received the JCI Best Paper Award.

The paper, titled “Creep of Calcium Hydroxide from Stress-induced Dissolution: Kinetic Monte Carlo Simulations”, was initially selected among the best of the year within JACT, before competing with a shortlist of papers selected from the other JCI family journals.

At the end of this two-stage selection process, Professor Masoero's contribution was named among the winners of the award granted by the Japan Concrete Institute.

The Japan Concrete Institute is one of the most authoritative and internationally recognised scientific societies in the field of concrete, with publications ranked in the Q1–Q2 quartile.
