DESCRIPTION:Il prossimo appuntamento con la serie di incontri PhDTalks si terrà Martedì 5 Luglio nell’aula 3.1.6 dalle 18:15 alle 19:15 CET. \nPhDTalks è una serie di seminari e discussioni tra dottorandi. Gli eventi hanno lo scopo di fornire un luogo dove creare un network tra dottorandi ed entrare in contatto con i molti progetti sviluppati nel nostro dipartimento. \nLo speaker Paolo Conti condurrà un seminario dal titolo “Data-Driven Modelling of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems”. \n \nAbstract: \nData driven modelling is an emerging research field that aims to identify physical models from measurements. This is a crucial new direction because the governing equations of many problems might not be known a priori. How to leverage data from different sources? How to correctly identify the dimensionality of the dynamics? How to exploit the identified model? DESCRIPTION:We are glad to announce that our next PhDTalks Seminar will be held on Tuesday 5 July in room 3.1.6 from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm CET. \nPhDTalks is a series of seminars and discussions between PhD students. The events are aimed at providing a place to network and get in contact with many of the projects developed in our department. \nSpeaker Paolo Conti will talk about “Data-Driven Modelling of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems”. \n  \n \nAbstract: \nData driven modelling is an emerging research field that aims to identify physical models from measurements. This is a crucial new direction because the governing equations of many problems might not be known a priori. How to leverage data from different sources? How to correctly identify the dimensionality of the dynamics? How to exploit the identified model? In this talk we will answer these questions and propose novel strategies to identify models directly from data. \nYou can watch the event online by clicking here. \nAt the end of each event a small refreshment funded by the department will be available. \nThese events are self organised by PhD students and speakers are chosen on a voluntary basis.\nIf you are interested in presenting during one of these events\, please send an email to andrea.opreni@polimi.it if you belong to the ISSG programme or to chiara.recalcati@polimi.it if you are attending the IAI programme.
