SUMMARY:PhDTalks | Numerical Methods for Fluid Structure Interaction Problems
DESCRIPTION:Martedì 7 Giugno nell’aula 3.1.6 dalle 18:15 alle 19:15 CET si svolgerà il nostro prossimo incontro con la serie di seminari PhDTalks. \nPhDTalks è una serie di seminari e discussioni tra dottorandi. Gli eventi hanno lo scopo di fornire un luogo dove creare un network tra dottorandi ed entrare in contatto con i molti progetti sviluppati nel nostro dipartimento. \nLo speaker Cheng Fu condurrà un seminario dal titolo “Numerical Methods for Fluid Structure Interaction Problems”. \n \nAbstract: \nFluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) problems involve deformable structures interacting with the surrounding fluid. Nowadays\, there is a growing interest to delve into this research topic since FSI problems can be found in a wide range of fields as aerospace\, naval\, and civil engineering. In this talk the Particle Finite Element Method (PFEM) as numerical scheme to tackle highly nonlinear FSI problems is presented\, together with examples of academic and industrial interest. \nL’evento sarà in presenza presso l’aula 3.1.6\, Politecnico di Milano\, Piazza Leonardo da Vinci\, 42\, 20133 Milano e live al seguente link.\nAl termine dell’evento sarà disponibile un piccolo rinfresco finanziato dal dipartimento. \nSe sei interessato a presentare durante uno di questi eventi\, invia una e-mail a andrea.opreni@polimi.it se fai parte del programma ISSG oppure a chiara.recalcati@polimi.it se stai frequentando il programma IAI.
