Furthermore, it is equipped to use the following methodologies: surface seismics, Ground Penetrating Radar, sonic and radar tomography, and Electrical Resistivity Tomography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The laboratory supports advanced research in the development of&nbsp;<strong>geophysical and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) techniques<\/strong>&nbsp;for applications in&nbsp;<strong>civil and environmental engineering<\/strong>. It is equipped to use the following geophysical methodologies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Surface seismics<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analysis of soil characteristics using surface seismic waves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use of radar for the detection and mapping of underground structures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sonic and radar tomography<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Study of the ground structure through the behavior of sonic and radar waves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT)<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investigation of soil electrical resistivity to obtain information on the composition and structure of the ground.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These methodologies allow for in-depth and non-invasive investigations, crucial for the monitoring and evaluation of structures and environments, with a particular focus on&nbsp;<strong>safety, sustainability, and innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il laboratorio supporta le ricerche in corso per lo sviluppo delle&nbsp;tecniche geofisiche&nbsp;e di&nbsp;NDT&nbsp;per applicazioni civili e ambientali.
